Yan-Yan reminds me of my grade school snacks. I used to beg my mom to let me eat those after school.

I haven't had Pocky nor Fran though.

Fran? Those Pocky-ish things with the really thick frosting? Those aren't bad. Kind of hard to find those in the US, though.

Yan-Yan looks interesting, never seen it around here though (not surprising really). I'm still tickled at finding Strawberry Pocky at Wal-mart. It's cheap and I found I really like the strawberry ones! Smile Picked some up tonight as a matter of fact.

I usually see Yan-Yan (or maybe something similar) when I go shopping at the local Chinese/Vietnamese groceries. Hmmm. I'm now craving for some.

Is Pocky available in a regular Wal-mart or just the Super Wal-mart? Maybe I'll buy some before work later. But three bucks a pop... >_<

There are only Wal-mart Super Centers left around here so I really can't say. They're not $3 though, 75 cents for a box. It's the shorter sticks and a smaller box, but it's quite cheap. Smile

Wegmans always had Pocky, so I suppose people around here are lucky in that respect.

What they don't have is dried squid strips. Those are good!

>>maestro: At least it has a smaller sized box for a taste test. ^^ I won't feel guilty of spending seventy-five cents on it now.

>>tokenasian: I haven't had those for a while (assuming I'm talking about the same thing). But I like those dried little fishies better than the squid strips.

While squid is good... man, I want some fried calamari now... those koala cookies with the chocolate filling is really good. There's a sweet potato flavor too!

Does anybody like Kettle Korn? That's my favorite snack when I'm just sitting in front of the monitor and not blogging anything. I also like sucking on dried orange peel when the mood strikes.

Kettle corn is good, although the risk of getting it in between keyboard keys is high. I've never heard of sucking on dried orange peels before, but it probably smells nice, kind of how lemon peels are really nice in things.

what the... I thought I posted something here but guess didn't go through?

Anyway, another great snack though expensive are these chocolate nut ball thingies that start with an R. It's like a nut in the center, surrounded by crunch and fudge which is surrounded by chocolate and nuts. Awesome snack that always disappears within the day if anyone actually buys it in my house.

It sounds like you're referring to the Ferrero Rocher chocolates. Those are irresistibly good and are a great complement to my afternoon tea. Normally, yes, they are expensive. Fortunately though, the local chinese markets/mini marts will hook 'em up at nearly a fraction of the price. And I think Costco sells them at a fair price as well.
