Hmmm ... top 5, eh? Kinda hard to put them in an order, but I shall try nonetheless!

5: ......I can't decide. Mr. Children, The Brilliant Green, KOTOKO, Porno Graffiti, Judy & Mary, Remioramen, Little by Little ... even Home Made Kazoku could be up there ... too hard to pick! We'll call #5 a wash.

4: Yoko Kanno (so ... much ... good music!)
3: Yasunori Mitsuda (I can't wait for my copy of Kirite to get here)
2: Shimokawa Mikuni (god she has a beautiful voice)
1: The Pillows (hands down, flat out)

In no particular order.

1. Keito Blow - I think she's very good.
2. Garnet Crow - There's something about them that reminds me of the 3. bands I used to like in my college days.
3. Mika Nakashima - I tend to go for ballads. And her songs are very simple yet somewhat soothing.
4. Ritsuko Okazaki - I'm still enthralled with FB's soundtrack.
5. Chihiro Onitsuka - I think she has one of the strongest voices in the industry. Beautiful voice.

A special mention to Gackt. I'm not really a big fan of his, even in his Malice Mizer days but his unplugged album, Seventh Night, is one of my all-time favorite CDs.

  • Morning Musume (Yes I like their music, got tons of it on my iPod)

  • Yohko Kanno (Can she actually write something bad? Very Happy )

1- the pillows ( just the most original, and best rock band to me)
2- X Japan ( woohoooo)
3- L'arc~en~ciel or Hyde (L'arc's singer right? Or am I wrong?)
4- Asian Kung Fu Generation
5- Miyavi ( perhaps...lol, dunno what to put next)

In no particular order...

Utada Hikaru
Kuraki Mai
Fukada Kyoko

Well, those are the only ones I make an effort to buy. Shimatani Hitomi's an okay singer and I like her songs, but I don't make an effort to buy her albums.
