sorry didn't know where to post this
Okay so this isn't exactly for you guys unless you use linux (any distro that have imagemagick package and VLC player)
this will help you to cut your images in an instant (doesn't matter if you have over 100 images)
Okay! If you are a ubuntu user(like me since) get imagemagick from apt-get
sudo apt-get install imagemagick
sudo apt-get install vlc
Note, the reason of the vlc player isn't for you to switch, i mostly just vlc to take my snapshots. VLC includes a feature for you to just take it with a hotkey (ctrl + shift + s) which you can change in the settings later on if you want.
In settings, set up a tempfolder (like /home/USER/Desktop/tempfolder)
Open a video and starts taking snapshots, after you are done just open terminal
This is where imagemagick enters in, this is my method, If you are experienced enough you notice that i'm leaving other options i already know the flag "-thumbnail" exists
Go to the folder via terminal, once in there type
convert *.png -resize WITDHxHEIGHT SERIES.png
*.png means that all extension that are png going to be cut. in the end where i put "SERIES.png" it won't replace over and over, it will number itself, which takes another task off your shoulders.
convert *.png -resize 216x122 series.png will appear as
series-0.png series-1.png and on
That's all! now you just upload and done then start showing screencaps in your blog instantly, if you aren't a linux user and got all confused over this , dont worry about it .
I probably be editing this post to put more tips. _________________ Shuffled Thoughts! (Yet another anime blog o.o)
