Nah, never came close to maxing out my credit card... it's just her imagination.

Totoros are getting expensive and harder to find. Don't do eBay for em' either...

Just buying Totoro-themed products is damaging to the budget, apparently. My newest crusade is preventing TA from buying the 800 dollar Totoro couch. Laughing

Call it a preemptive strike, she's trying to make sure you never no. Wink

I can't remember if I have one or not, I picked up some Ghibli goodies at the Ghibli Museum back in 2001. I need to find that stuff and put it out somewhere. Very Happy

You could use the same method as for that Evangelion figure, just make sure he knows he'll die shortly after buying it. Laughing

Haha, he knows he'll die. Unfortunately, his finger tends to "slip" while browsing on eBay.

Uh huh, it's rather hard to win an eBay auction by accident. Laughing

That was a joke. I fully intended to win that auction.

I should write a letter to the editor of AMG about how AMG shopping and romance got intertwined. Maybe I'll get my letter printed.

Or maybe he'll think I'm an idiot and tell me to never buy books again.

I know, that's what I was implying. Razz

Or maybe it'll get filed along with the hundreds and hundreds of similar letters. Filed where? The garbage can of course. Wink

More seriously I don't think they've gotten very intertwined for you so far. Now if you end up losing you girlfriend because you go overboard buying AMG stuff that would be intertwined. Having gotten a girlfriend that you met while buying AMG stuff would be intertwinted too. Razz

TA says 40% of our convos go like this:

TA: Ciounoi, I want to buy this figure.
Me: Absolutely not.
TA: But... it's 20% off!
Me: No.
TA: And I'm going to buy it sometime in the future, anyway!
Me: How much have you spent this month?
TA: Nothing!
Me: No, you told me yesterday about all this stuff you ordered from TRSI.
TA: Oh, those were pre-orders. I don't get billed until next month.
Me: Absolutely not. Besides, you owe me lunch.
TA: Oh, crap. OK, I'll buy you dinner tonight, and then don't complain about my purchases today!
Me: Oh fine.

It's true love, I tell you!

Let me guess, he'll say that even when it's not on sale? Wink

And he says this even when he's already spent money on anime goodies that month? Laughing

And there were pre-orders but he bought some current stuff too? Smile

Has to be, I'm surprised you didn't negotiate for dinner that night and lunch the next before giving in. Rolling Eyes

I wonder how moy and Vinn's significant others react to them?

You know, very few males report domestic violence...

Yes, he really does that. But for his credit, I do get quite a lot of food out of him. Laughing

Against themselves? THere's probably not that many males who are the victims of it. Are you suggestiong that Ciounoi beats on you when you overspend? Laughing

Sad that you have to negotiate it out of him instead of him just buying it for you though. Wink

"Ciou Noi" means "loud and annoying" in Chinese.

Well, don't quote me on that. My Chinese isn't that great anymore.

Haha, no. It's a really, really twisted Romanization of the Cantonese for "Laughing Girl."
