Yaoi paddles? WTF? Do they think/hope they'll make guys they spank gay or something? Shocked

Go to a con and you'll see what I mean. Ever been chased by a yaoi fangirl for no apparent reason?

Ren and Problematic are obviously among the sane ones.

Unless takoyaki is involved. Rolling Eyes

Very Happy Hee. Now you gave me an idea for a bridal shower gift.

Oh, and here's one of my favorite images, ever. Yes, it involves the infamous paddle.

o_O I think I saw them taking that picture....that or they had many people taking that sort of picture with him......... Shocked Shocked

Actually, bleach is more popular in the otaku world that naruto is. Wink So it should be:

- People ask you about Naruto and expect you to know everything about it even though you don't watch it because they think every anime fan is supposed to watch it.

Well the Bleach thing really happened to me. Your new wording strikes the point better though. Wink

Sorry Maestro, I can't help myself. The mere mention of a yaoi paddle amuses me so.

Ahhh... but it's more interesting than getting the usual from Frederick's. ;p

And probably more entertaining, at least for the person wielding the paddle. Razz

I don't know for sure but all hints point to my original supposition that yaoi fangirls run around whacking hot guys with them hoping they'll turn gay. Razz

Good point, although I think I'd be more likely to take it away from them and whack them with it after the first couple of times. Razz

Then again they might like that and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing. Embarassed Guess it depends on the girl. Wink

A girl that spends $30 on buying a Yaoi paddle is just something I can't understand. $30 could have bought you 2 T-shirts, or 3-5 pencil boards, one action figure, a box of gashapons, or a poster, or something else productive. o_O

I imagine a yaoi paddle is used for "fun and games" now that I think about it.

On the other hand, I don't get the point of yaoi either.

I agree, I don't get it, but then again I don't understand why people buy models of Gundams (since I'm not a fan of them) so I guess you just have to be a yaoi fangirl to understand why. Laughing

You know you could always buy your girlfriend one and see what she uses it for. Think of it as a case study in anthropology... Wink

Then again you might not want to encourage her to go down that path. Laughing

I think the point is some women (and men I'm sure) find it sexually stimulating so it's made and it sells because of that. Smile It's the same reason yuri, lolicon, shoutacon, tentacle hentai, etc, etc, etc, sells. So the point is some people want it, they'll willing to pay for it and it makes money. Shocked

I remember reading somewhere that there's a Japanese acronym for Yaoi that translates essentially to "ouch, my butt hurts". That just cracks me up. Laughing

"Ouch my butt hurts?"

Yaoi paddles...

A connection? Shocked

I got my girlfriend SpySweeper for Christmas. I'm a practical kind of guy.

I think that's quite fine. Although I can see some of my friends that would grumble at the thought. *shrugs* I had an ex-bf who bought me an internal HD one time for Christmas. I remember being rather pleased. Smile

More HD space to download anime? Very Happy Wink

back on topic(I don't know if this was posted yet):

-you don't feel attracted to real life girls anymore because anime females are so much more perfect, prettier, nice personalities, and have that cute japanese voice to top it all off.
