Well according to a post at Anime News Network, Funimation have grabbed the rights to Trinity Blood. YAY Very Happy
Except now I wonder how long I have to wait to get my hands on it.

I'd love to see someone license Air! For now I'll grab DVD fansub releases, but I want to buy a nice HQ US version. Very Happy

Yeah yeah, I should just buy the R2s since that ain't gonna happen right? Sad

Hmm...

I have doubts that Honey and Clover or Air will ever make it to the U.S. H&C may have a chance, because of the manga. But I would think if Air had a shot, someone would have already grabbed the rights to one of the many versions of the games.

But I can hope...

I'll hope for H & C, it would be a shame for someone not to pick it up.

The licensing cost for the games is probably too high. After all it was insanely successful in Japan and the translated bishoujo game market is pretty tiny still. (Microscopic in comparison actually. Sad )

Personally I'd like to see some translated non-H bishoujo games darn it!

I want Trinity Blood manga - hopefully with Funimation grabbind the anime chances may be higher of it being licensed.

And non H bishoujo games would be nice ...

... don't do it. At ~$60/volume for only 2 episodes plus video quality issues... only hardcore or insane fans should go for it. Shocked

Count me in, too. :p 3 volumes of Air so far, and the fourth's heading over the ocean...

Now the only question is whether we're 'hardcore' or 'insane'. I'm not sure which is better..

Ack, yeah that leaves me out, that's way too expensive. Shocked I'll just wait for an R1 releases or look for used ones cheap (I seriously doubt I'll see any cheap used ones though, the series is too popular in Japan.)

Well if the series never gets licensed, I'm sure you'll be bound to find cheapish used versions within an year. Don't forget the regular editions are coming out, so those should be a litlte cheaper...

I hear Yahoo! Japan Auctions is a good place to go for rare and (maybe) cheaper anime-related goods. Might want to look into that once the whole series comes out Wink
