I call it "Triple X Holic" myself when I have to refer to it verbally. I'm not sure it's meant to be pronounced though. Laughing

New pet peeves!
  • People who can't grasp the difference between OS's and think because something is easy on one platform it should be on others. Specifically while Fink may make porting Linux apps to Mac OS X simple that doesn't mean porting stuff written for Unix to Linux is! Twisted Evil (Fortunately there did turn out to be a port of the software needed, otherwise I'd have probably got to learn how to port it. Shocked)
  • People who don't bother to read the information presented to them, then ask a question already answered then when told to read the FAQ (and given a link to it) insist they can't find it and insist you tell them the pertinent info from the FAQ directly. (Basically people who refuse to help themselves and want everything handed to them.)

But information is so much more fun when it comes in easily digestable packages!

I don't have a problem with needing help or simplified directions for things, it's when there's already a link on the page to a FAQ answering the question asked that it starts to bother me. Then when you respond giving the link again telling them the answer is there and they won't go read it that it becomes a problem to me. That's just lazy.

This happened on Matthew's Shoutbox earlier in the week, I'm not sure of their age, Matthew ended up deleting their posts.

>>When people you've known for a while ask you gazillion times on how to pronounce your name. It's weird that they even argue about it with others. That's why I tell my friends just to call me Ten. It's way simpler.
