So, what have you bought recently? Anything good? Ever since I got to college, I've been splurging on various online goods. My latest purchase was indulging in those discounts at Animeigo.com. Nothing like finding a good deal online... and to discover the package on your doorstep way ahead of time!

Mmmm... well for the month of May

The entire Megazone series from ADV ^^ for like $18 total
First volume of Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi
The second Orange Road movie (still haven't steeled myself to watch that, the first one was depressing enough as it is, and it doesn't revolve around a coma)
Borgman OAV's (I wish someone would do the entire series, that was such a fun show)

and my most recent and best purchase...

Kare Kano (went a different route than Right Stuff, but scored it for $40 with the box). Halfway through the third DVD and I'm already sad there are only two DVD's after that.

There are two main things preventing me from making purchases... Okay three.

1: Too lazy to work.
2: Parents. Laughing
3: Nowhere to buy stuff.

That being said... I bought Excel Saga 7 (the manga) last week. Laughing When I go on vacation at the end of this month to Oahu (I live on Maui) I'm hoping to hit up the stores and buy Way Too Much Stuff though. Razz

I mostly indulge myself with manga purchases but I still allot some for R1s.

For this month, I think I've got Paranoia Agent v.2-3, ROD box set, and the Haibane Renmei bundle set. I'm tempted to grab the Comic Party bundle at Rightstuf (eventhough I'm not really a fan) since it's slashed down to $44.

Ten, do it! Comic Party rocks, even if the animation is kind of dated. Also, rightstuf probably has some of the best releases for the DVDs as they include all the extra (I think) videos. i.e. the cast interviews and short anime extra.

good stuff and that rightstuf price is a good. I picked up the whole thing for $40 on ebay awhile back (no box, but already had the first vol+box+signed card).

Like moyism suggested, I moved this thread to General Chat as this is more "what did you buy" than "R1 DVD" related.
On that note, I bought Cheeky Angel volume 5 this week.

I picked up Planetes Vol. 1 at Best Buy on Tuesday ($19.99!). I was hoping to grab Stellvia Vol. 5 and Koi Kaze Vol. 2 as well, but they didn't have any copies.

My most recent purchases before that were the final volume of Paranoia Agent (not sure why I bought this series on DVD...I enjoyed it, but I can't see myself ever rewatching it) and all of Happy Lesson (TV and OAV). In the latter case, Right Stuf was moving each disc for $7 each. So, 17 episodes for $28. It's a fun show, too.

>>moyism: *lol* I'll probably end up grabbing it anyway. The urge to collect is strong. Argh, online purchasing is pure evil. >_<

As for raw manga, I tend to frequent Ebay and search for 'bargains' or sets. The last one I bought was Glass Mask v.30-35, 41.

My original intention was to have the topic only about DVDs, but okay, let's do it this way! Very Happy

I got my hands on the Taiwan (Region 3) release of "The Cat Returns." My original copy of it was a shady region-free DVD from China. Being suspicious of its origins, I promptly had someone purchase for me the Taiwan release. Ironically, I think the English subtitles on this DVD may be better than Disney's...

Oh, remind me to post a picture of all the Totoro plushies I bought this year. One of them (the big one, he's about three feet tall) is wearing a Menchi hat.

OK let's see... The majority of my purchases are manga. More recently I've brought the following (and by recently I mean in the last couple weeks):

Fullmetal Alchemist v.1
Fruits Basket v.7-v.9
Imadoki v.1
D.N.Angel v.7

Near the beginning of every month I buy an issue of Ribon as well (check out my blog to see pictures of all 2005 Ribon issues and furoku). Last week I also picked up the June volume of Youchien because it came with Futago Hime furoku (there are pictures of this on my blog as well).

Since I just attended and anime convention a few weeks ago (Anime North), I also picked up some cute little fullmetal alchemist figures.

I think that's about it... for now...

How far back does recent go? (Hmmm, need a sweatdrop emoticon...)

I got the Natsume Maya pinky yesterday. If we go a bit further back into May I got the BOME Maya and Aya figures, Shima from Stellvia, some Fate/Stay Night gashapon and trading figures (OK, so not aime yet, but it will be! Very Happy ), the Natsume Aya pinky, and a figure of Subaru from .hack//SIGN.

Away from figures, since the start of May I've grabbed the Aquarion (Akino), Forever... (Savage Genius) and Loop (Maaya Sakamoto) singles and some random magazines.

In terms of DVDs, I can't remember that specifically. Can't remember exact dates, but I can think of My:HiME 4&5 and the CLAMP School Detectives Memorial Box from R2 land, and Marmalade Boy Box 1, Planetes 1, Madlax 2, ROD -the TV- 7, DNAngel 5, Yucie 5, Stellvia 5, Tenjou Tenge 1 (Yeah, I know the anime version is kind of rubbish, but I still like it), Melody of Oblivion 1, FMAlchemist 3, Wolfs Rain 7, Samurai Champloo whatever-the-most-recent-one-was, FMP!Fumoffu, Otogi Zoshi 2 and Gundam SEED 10 from R1 land in the last few weeks.

Really can't remember about manga, as I'm a lot more random about that.[/url]
